“Stop the Drop” Dropped Objects Campaign
What is a dropped object?
A dropped object is any object that can fall from one level to another.
Why is it important?
Dropped objects can kill people. Due to the potential fatal injuries that can result from being struck by a relatively light dropped object, this is a major risk in the environments we work in.
The top three causes of industrial fatal accidents across the globe are:
1. Falls from height
2. Being struck by moving vehicles; and
3. Being struck by falling objects.
What does this mean for Altrad?
Due to the nature of our business, Dropped Objects create one of our greatest risks. We want everyone to go home safely every day so it is imperative we adapt a proactive approach to safety to prevent dropped object events and #StopTheDrop.
